2009 - 2010 :

I used to run after the waves

A sad non reciprocating love

Never certain, never true.

But one day, a long long time later,

I ceased.

I let the waves pull the gentle sand

back and forth from my feet.

And it got me thinking, “What am I really running after?”

It is tiring chasing waves that do not stay

It is tiring building castles that only crumble

It is tiring after everything said and done

… that nobody understands you. believes you. trust you.

Or even help you.

Always alone. Always still.

Like a stranded shell with no master.

And so I stopped, and sat.

And thought about it.

It’s no point running against the waves.

2011:

I’ve made my peace - you and I

Through my still silence and abandonment

I have at last found a true friend.

A friend whom I’ve long lost in my heart, now found.

And for that I am eternally grateful.

Alhamdulillah.

Insta*gram : The Get Up Kids.

Best birthday present from Gryswtr.  Totally in love with them.  I’d kill to see them tour asia!

time time time …. it’s been 8 months since Baby Mikha’s been around and i’m still completely bummed about time management.  juggling with feeding times, playtime, sketching, facebook (an ultimate distraction - but as my husband insists, this is essential to keep up with clients & suppliers) and a whole hullobaloo of things.  total havoc.  got myself some new works : illustration commission and finally - stationery works! so will have a major upload fest hopefully by next week!
